Because of who is proliferating these talking points and how quickly several news sites in different languages picked it up, we are considering that GrapheneOS is currently under a state sponsored attack by Spanish state employees attempting to deliberately misrepresent it as being for criminals, which we covered a bit here.

This has directly led to massively escalated raids and threats on our chat rooms whether or not they're directly doing it or not.

These poorly researched, biased and inaccurate news stories are designed to support targeted harassment towards our community for using GrapheneOS and our team by putting pressure and maliciously associating us with bad actors.

The state can fuck themselves. Governments are becoming so large everyone is assumed a criminal.

Don't worry, they did the same with bitcoin and look what it is now. Hold on strong.

Saying an open source security and privacy focused operating system is designed for criminals is disingenuous. Also claiming one of the largest phone brands in the world is a suspect for a drug dealer in Catalonia is hilarious but also just sad.

In light of this unraveling, here are some examples of so called 'drug dealers' using or vocally supporting GrapheneOS:

- PewDiePie

- Jack Dorsey

- Vitalik Buterin (and numerous other Ethereum Foundation members)

- Microsoft's Windows OS security team (!!!)

Numerous staff of intelligence agencies ironically use GrapheneOS as their personal device to protect themselves, some might argue they need it.

To go one step ahead, not even Cellebrite or MSAB or other forensics companies ever were documented through leaks talking about us negatively like this, despite their efforts to try and exploit our work. Amazing what keeping your enemies closer would do.

Maybe ironically saying intel agency employees are not drug dealers was probably incorrect :) The suits LOVE psychedelics!!

So lets openly critizise this reports in open comment sections, for their attack on freedom tech.
