OK, I'll bite. What's the problem with web3?

Oh... I guess it depends on the web3 you get into. Have you seen Flux's web3 project? You can even launch nostr nodes from there.
It seems Flux has their own shitcoin and is in bed with some of the biggest shitcoins in crypto. Nostr has accomplished all of this without a blockchain or token
"Flux operates as a multi-chain cloud infrastructure provider, with the Flux blockchain at its core and seven other blockchains with links to it. These chains are Ethereum (ETH), BNB Chain (BNB), Kadena (KDA), Solana (SOL), Tron (TRX), Avalanche (AVAX) and Ergo (ERG)."
From the same article you linked... 'Flux is among the rare projects capable of providing a truly scalable decentralized cloud infrastructure. Packed with great features such as cross-platform compatibility and scalable computing power renting, Flux is one of the most promising projects in the blockchain world.'
That main difference between nostr and web3 is nostr is actually decentralized
Not to take away from what Nostr has accomplished without it's own blockchain. However, web3 done right also can be useful. Nobody can take down your Nostr relay on a truly decentralized web.
I was just linking that article to show where I got the quote from. What happens to Flux when those coins go to ⚡️0?
Nostr was built by a bitcoiner, and he proved there is no need for a blockchain. The same protocol can be used to build practically anything.
I agree completely; that's why my peace of mind lives with bitcoin. If Nostr could do everything that Flux is doing right now then yes... Flux would be Redundant and unnecessary. Cheers mate
