Update, I am getting my full 35 weeks of paternity and I am going to be getting 55% of my normal pay. It was a mix up on the government side. They used a previous employer instead of the employer I work for now. Which explains the difference in the amount as I make 3x what I did my last company. Even though the government made the mistake, will need to wait an additional few weeks for it to start. So for the next 3 weeks I'm broke. Time to figure out a short term fix lol.

Which country is this?

Oh canada

Canada 🇨🇦, not the first time they have screwed up something. I have probably logged hours of phone time with them over the course of my life. I remember the time they thought i was deceased lol.

For better or worse, the paternity benefit in canada is envied by other nation. Hoho

Hope you can find a gap fill in the interim but 35 weeks is pretty solid

I took thurs/ Fri and went back into the office yesterday 🤣

Even My wife gets only 12 weeks in the states at a comparable rate

Man that sucks! Sorry to hear that, government messes up everything.

They really do lol. One time I was on call for like 5 hours to fix something

What country are you in?

Whoops just scrolled down. Canada eh?
