I may get yelled at but here goes:
This narrow band plan is only a "band-aid". This is only delaying the inevitable that there's no pairs coming up. The real issue is too many people on this planet including amateurs on the west side and large cities. Every "ham" wants his own repeater, possibly because they don't play well with others in the sand-box. Why not combine efforts and help out the existing repeaters as a team effort?
