ah, so you believe in conditional immortality. Do you think he would have undergone some punishment before being extinguished?

i don't believe in punishment and i don't think God does either (the father)

just turn out the lights this one is worthless

and i think that you don't get born with a soul you earn one

Hmm, never heard of "earning" a soul... So people are born as NPCs, so to speak? 😄

yes, like animals

Have you earned a soul yet? Or are you still your as your pfp depicts you? 😸

hah, i don't know, i think i'm still in debt actually, though i surely can't be too far from square

it may have been some influence on my beliefs reading the Qur'an because it repeatedly and right from the start emphasises that God the Father is The Most Merciful

during Judgement, all of the acts of evil are relived, and this is the punishment, but it's not a punishment, it's just the pay-back of what was taken, so there is no need for anything more

i think this model regards this process as "the second death" and i'm pretty sure that there is writings about this going a long way back

so i think that paying back the debt counts as reconciliation and after that point the prize earned by the stupid evil person is they don't get a heavenly body and don't get to come back

the hindus have this punitive system where they think you are reincarnated as a lower beast but i think that is extremely anthropocentric - i don't think that creatures that lack the ability to choose something other than what they were spawned with are evil, they are simply forces of nature and you don't call a storm evil, or a long needed rain good, except with context for the benefit or detriment of those who suffer or gain due to this change of weather

idk, it's just how i see it really, what makes sense to me and seems like justice

According to the Apostle, Stephen Hawking had one necessary stop before his eternal destiny:

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade people..." (2 Corinthians 5:10–11)

so the Judgement is about repayment

if you come up positive you get to progress to the next thing

i think there is also another part involved in this because soooo many mythic systems talk about this "weight of the heart" thing, the egyptians put a cat headed goddess with scales in the task of this business - Maat is the name of her and if your heart weighs more than a feather then you go to the underworld - this is just the one i'm most familiar with

the hindu scheme of reincarnation is the basis of their horrible caste system, like the family you are born in indicates your starting value, this is patently unfair

also, i've always found hawking cringe, and utterly lacking in any substantial amount of talent as a physicist

MND is a horrible thing and i've had a taste of it as type 2 diabetes has some overlap of symptoms (as does alzheimers) in the sense of neurodegeneration, the way that so many fans of this pervert tout that as some kind of compensation for anything that should lower the bar of his measure is really pathetic and stinks of elitist "family ties" selection for some task of propaganda
