My sincerest appreciation goes to the people here and the incredible builders.

As someone who hasn't had a great relationship with social media, this is arguably the first time in my life that I've made connections with people over the internet without first meeting them in person.

I craved this experience when social media first emerged. Initially, it was wholesome to interact and stay connected with friends and family. Gradually, however, our attention was hijacked, our need for acceptance and validation began to filter out authenticity, and surveillance interests emerged.

So, I removed myself in 2016 to preserve my privacy, attention, and mental health.

Nostr provides a new medium for digital connection and has the potential to be the social media platform that facilitates authentic digital connections. This is our best attempt yet to counter the problems of modern social media.

Thank you for being my digital friends and providing hope for the future of digital connections.
