I don't understand why talking heads are pushing knots.. For clicks and views, or actually don't get that policy changes won't change consensus??

That’s very easy to understand.
On the flip side: I don’t understand why core devs are rushing through such a contentious update that objectively reduces individual sovereignty (the right to limit op_return).
Explain that one.
