Modern anesthesia has become extremely safe due to advances in medications and most importantly continuous monitoring.

Anesthesia in the US is somewhat of a just-in-time model. We get notified last about the surgery schedule so unfortunately don’t usually get to meet you, the patient, before the immediate preoperative area. If I can provide any reassurance or answer specific questions I would be happy to help.
