People will say “1 sat = 1 sat” until they’re faced with how much time and energy it takes to save up 100M of them. The people who throw that catchphrase around confuse Bitcoin’s rigid monetary policy with real world purchasing power. Within the Bitcoin protocol, 1 sat = 1 sat. In real world purchasing power, 1 sat = something very different today vs. what it meant 10 years ago vs. what it will mean 10 years from now.

It's supposed to imply that when you DCA don't think about price in fiat.

That’s not the only way people use it, but even in that case you are DCA-ing a fixed fiat-denominated amount, rather than a fixed amount of sats per DCA. You can’t ignore the fiat price of bitcoin in real world contexts because the fiat price is just another exchange rate related to purchasing power. It’s a silly catchphrase that people who want to be cheap toss around. “Oh you want to charge a fair market rate for your services instead? 1 sat = 1 sat bro. Give me a discount.”

Not necessarily, I used to DCA whatever I had extra. It was more like FomoCA.

Shit, I still do that.

1 meme = 1 meme

1 sat = 1 kebab, as reflected in the symbol 😊

For me 1 sat=1 euro in fact I really appreciate #nostt people and their generosity with zaps.
