Weed is safer than both in the long term and generally the short term.

Weed addicts are a lot more mellow than alcoholics and the smoke smells better than cigarette smoke usually so as long as it doesn't make you lazy and interfere with other parts of your life then I'm cool with people doing it. It's not for me though, at least not anymore. I only tried it legally and under legal circumstances and I'll say that it does help you get a good nights sleep if you use it correctly and legally under legal circumstances.
