I've spent weeks setting up a node, lightning channels in and out, and just finally got a lighting address with Zeuspay connected to my node.
Getting a lighting address has been the biggest UX issue for me hands down.
We have a long way to go and I'm stoked for the future.
We've come a long way and yes I agree, we have a long way to go to where this is point and click easy for the masses.
Took me a week in 2018 and all I got was a pair of lightning earrings from Blockstream.

I am using Zeuspay myself for receive until I get this set up and oddly have payments fail routing occasionally even though I have solid inbound.
Still not sure what cause that, but always learning.
consider startOS for node stack. Based on an RHR interview with nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx it sounds like they make setup easy. I cannot personally vouch at this time, but I too have felt the pain of getting sovereign setup online and I will test startOS on my next node https://docs.start9.com/0.3.5.x/diy/
