I was a beast when I was younger! Haven't been in the gym in 8 years and haven't been taking care of myself. If I can get even 50% of my old strength back I'll be happy.

When I was 20 I was bench pressing 365 for reps and leg pressing 900.

Ok next time tell me to sit down before you drop those kinds of numbers on me 🫨

I was taking some legal steroids in the Army and I had a bullshit job my second deployment so I just spent all my time lifting weights instead.

Dude props too you on that, I can’t do even a third of that and I’m in my 20’s

I'm 37 now. I have to be super careful of my spine because of old injuries, and half my right bicep isn't attached to my forearm anymore. I was moving some big heavy shit at work about 7 years ago and the weight shifted and ripped my bicep tendon right off of my radius.

Ouch πŸ€•

She. I had my "midlife crisis" 35.

Good to have that behind me.

I decided my 5yr goal was best shape of my life by 40... & I hit it.

I was in the gym 5 days a week. Eating lean, 2 long walks a day, drinking less, decent sleep. Crushed it, even ran it for another year.

Then Covid hit. Gyms closed. Hard to find free weights. Kids were driving me absolutely bonkers etc.

I never got my gym mojo back.

The last year it's been 1-2 times a week at best. Eating whatever. Drinking whenever. Sleeping like crap.

Fk this. I got to get back in the grove.

Fit by 50 next goal?
