Watching an episode of That '70s show and thinking...
When I was a teenager in the '90s, '70s culture and music was only 20 years in the past.
The '90s to my teenage kids is like how I saw the '60s when I was a teen.
And the '70s was fifty years ago, so they must see it like I saw the '40s when I was a teen.
Wow...That hits.

I had this realisation recently but instead of that 70s show it was when they played Zombie (Cranberries) last time I was at Starbucks and Zoomer employees were kind of bopping to it.
Kids listening to 00s Green Day like American Idiot today = us listening to the hits from Guns n Roses, Duran Duran, etc... and I those in turn sound to kids today like the Beatles and Beach Boys sounded to us.
