I can't prove it

It autocorrected to Bitcoin on the backend before generating

If you like fish, bathe salmon in this in the fridge a few hours, adjust quantity with portion:

½ cup soy sauce

½ cup balsamic vinegar

¼ cup olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Then roast at 450F for 12-15min depending on thickness

Maybe Coinos needs to come in two flavors:

Yolo build where they can "move fast and break things", experimental and Nostr features and all that.

And then have an LTS build that's minimalist, stable, secure. No Nostr stuff or ecash or anything experimental that adds attack surface, targeted at newly orangepilled merchants.

nostr:nevent1qqs2p6wd6j07a5lskxc6wq7n2veezr85l5hc0430u5jdewwendf8j6cpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtczyzv2undfymz8rs3l6yk3a0w4swd6s2ghh2np3cvyuryezmvnmn60wqcyqqqqqqgfdtv28

It also makes you more fun to be around.

I'm immediately suspicious of anyone without one. Life's too short to give time to soulless, overly serious robots.

nostr:nevent1qqsfpkwuxj5jslkzs0crt5ntnughf37jt4mt00ar9xkaqkakex8lr6qpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wchsygp4dp6ll4efkphwknqa0fc2ra6sq3wsvam56gwqltl7ftetl94zaqpsgqqqqqqsf49uhl

> "The marketing focuses on censorship resistance, but most users aren't posting anything that would get them banned elsewhere."

This is a good point. Maybe Nostr is just being built quietly, slowly getting as ready as possible for when until something happens: some kind of "WikiLeaks dumping war logs" event, or like what silk road did to Bitcoin recognition.

It works. And no need to get stuck up on getting ultra precise numbers on everything if it's not available in-app or has no barcode. Just eyeball it. Overestimate slightly to be safe. It's about the trend not the exception.

What type of vacationer are you?

Howdy stackers,

Some relatives recently invited me to join their late summer trip, but I had to decline. I just moved into a new house and have a lot to do. Honestly, even beyond that excuse, the truth is I'm not really interested in their destination or plans.

This got me reflecting on past holidays spent in various places with various people. It made me realize I tend to be picky with who I vacation with and doing what.

For example, I've never been interested in the kind of vacation where you just loaf around in a resort, beach every day, eat for free, etc. It sounds strange even to myself, because all of that sounds great on paper. But I guess I’m still too restless to enjoy that kind of trip. Maybe I’ll come around to it someday.

# How would you describe your vacationing style?

- **Resort Enjoyer**: Tried and true for a lot of hard-working people. All about relaxing and unwinding, lounging by the pool, chilling in the sun, open bar, free buffet. Maybe a tour outside the resort into the actual country itself. Spend time unwinding, often in company of other tourists.

- **Backpacker**: Exploring new places, either following a path of different spots to hit, or maybe bouncing from couches to motels on a budget. Backpacking can sound like a lot of physical activity like hiking around, but it can also include just mingling with the locals.

- **Absolute Planner**: Meticulously plan every detail of a trip. You don't want to waste time waiting or researching. You want to know where you're going, and when, and for how long and exactly what you will do. You've got tickets and events booked already and a mostly full schedule before you even board the plane or car.

- **Free Spirit**: Going with the flow. Maybe a couple things you absolutely want to do or see, but not much planning beyond that. Schedule mostly open and you wing it when you're there based on vibes. You leave the door open to serendipity and surprise. Maybe you encounter something unexpected, maybe not, you don’t consider it wasted time either way

- **Repeat Visitor**: You have your key destinations, perhaps because you've already travelled a lot, or you stick to a few places you are familiar with or you like. These destinations are like friends you want to catch up with every once in a while. It's a holiday, but you have some comfort from the familiarity of the locales, culture and maybe some friendships made there.

- **Workaholic**: You don't have much time to travel, or it's not something that interests you enough to spend time and money on. You only travel for work. Or maybe you do like travelling but you can't help but bring your laptop along to do a bit of work here and there in hotel lobbies and cafes?

---

As for me...

Personally, I enjoy visiting old places rich in culture and history, but also vibrant enough with local culture that it still feels lively and not just like going to a live-action museum.

I always make a point never to overbook my schedule and expectations. I have a couple big things I want to see or do, but leave myself some time to explore on the spot and tweak my days around. Some of the most memorable travel moments I have are from unplanned surprises, last minute ideas and chance encounters.

I don't want to jump from point A to B to C in a rush not to miss anything or waste tickets. I want to keep some time open in case I want to sit on a terrasse and do people-watching, or walk around from store to store aimlessly.

I'm also guilty of carrying my laptop around to hit up local pubs and cafes and do some work on personal side projects.

Fun fact: I never get a haircut before going on a trip. I go there and find a barber to get a cut if I need one. Some barbers are chatty and are surprised to get a tourist as a client. It's a great way to sniff out local lore, travel quests and recommendations.

I'm curious how people here approach travel choices (beyond anything bitcoin-related, preferably).

Do you vacation for the sights, the culture, the food, the music, or to attend specific events?

If you travel with others, have you ever clashed on vacation styles or expectations?

Cheers,

Woah ecash on Zeus is out?

And apparently there's in-app swapping now? Dope.

I see. Doesn't necessarily need to go onchain right away, I just get OCD trying to precisely account for LN fees to precisely end up with 0 balance and not have 1-20sats left behind.

Not a huge deal, but was trying to see if I was missing something.

Even if you buy the pizza with Fiat thats like 20-30$ you spent on pizza instead of Bitcoin so the pizza still cost you millions in 10-20 years

Checkmate.

Don't be afraid to spend your sats.

What's the proper way to sweep all funds from a #cashu wallet (guessing it'd be per mint balance separately)?

Basically the equivalent of closing a LN channel to send everything on chain without leaving dust behind.

Surprising from Switzerland.

Are laws and amendments like these something people vote on? I keep hearing folks there vote on a lot of things directly, on an issue per issue basis

so glad I was wearing my glasses when I saw this

A better versioning

Too familiar. On top of that AI tends to blindly trust too much.

Me: it ain't working because of this, let's do it that (still wrong) way instead

AI: you're absolutely correct! let's do it. here you go

> shit still broken

Me: oh my bad, that was a stupid idea, that would never work, let's do it this other, still wrong, way

AI: I agree with you! that was not the right way. let's fix it

> does what I say even if it's blatantly wrong

> shit still broken

I've been meaning to get into the physical key rabbit hole. When you say "lock everything physically", does it mean basically instead of (or on top of) a password manager / 2FA authenticator, you slide the thing into a USB outlet to log in?

Phone, websites, everything?
