Techie people. I have spent hours curating albums in Google Photos. Is this app one that is open to collecting data like Google browser is? I don't want to switch and start over, but I will if the answer is yes.

Yes, sadly it does. The best alternative is #Immich but it is difficult to get running (uses Docker)
