Many of 'normie dreams' revolves around doing whats currently trendy or becoming 'popular'.

And since those things are now irredemably poisoned by "social media", what "following your dreams" results in is playing the cards that some other unknown hand has dealt you.

Usually not in your own best interest.

It’s so scary when you sit down with them and you break down said dreams and it most of the time boils back down to status or fame , just a craving of validation which is all based on what other people think of them , and when they end up getting them they feel 0 fulfillment

Bingo.

Many people don't mature much beyond the level of a three-year-old. They will like pretty much whatever you put in front of them. Put Canova and Bach in front of them long enough, and they are capable of being cultured. Put a dancing degenerate racemixer like Michael Jackson, or whoever the latest horrors are these days, in front of them long enough, and they will ruin everything they touch, including themselves.

The problem is that technology changed the meaning of the phrase. One used to look at the horizon and be inspired by a role model, perhaps someone great.

That was the dream to follow, now technology destroyed most traditional jobs or render them cheap labor while at the same time elevated mediocre people to the level of kings.

No wonder a lot of souls got confused.
