also importing nostr contacts just seems to load forever, doesn't work but no error
No, it uses Neutrino or your own node’s backend directly if it’s a remote node

yes I did, might be related but the accounts page before I press the "+" loads forever instead of showing some sort of message saying there aren't any accounts added ATM(not sure what the actual UX is supposed to be)
scanning the xpubs with a qr code didn't work, so I copy and pasted manually, it still wouldn't let me import though. I did remember to input the master key fingerprint field as well
