This post could be a good place to validate where we want to get to, specially for wallet connect behavior. Folks, what do you think of this slider view for choosing amounts of sats you want to zap? This should appear if you long press the zap icon in a post.

Yeah slider is a good idea… i would love if you could do it quickly from the post. I tried to do this when I first implemented zapping but gave up
We are already using long press for custom amounts and it feels pretty intuitive so slider showing up there would fee natural I think… Zapping upon release of the slider could be a rewarding experience too! It would feel as if we’re literally sending #zaps out to the world

Haha yeah #[4] the idea of this one is to access from the post/note maybe in a long press and make it really smooth(similar to iOS change brightness and volumen controls), super natural and fast, cool be good zap on release but that kinda tricky because you loose the ability to change settings or leave comments. But definitely cool be good and super fast. ⚡️
Yes! Long press with slider would be the ideal. Double tap to bring up the full custom settings might be an option too. Once zap replies move to the post view it’ll only leave the zap type to deal with.
How about a slider for likes so we can show how much we like something? /s

I’ve been thinking about how to do that in a slick way. I’m adding a “make default” button in the public/private zap picker. I realize people don’t go into settings to change defaults. Need to make it a part of then ui.
How about hold on icon like iOS app home screen till it wiggles with an edit button appearing on each one
This is the funny part about building products for strangers, you never know if they actually use your product the way you want them to😅 I think setting the default amount in the settings view make sense but maybe having it in the zap UI make more sense to others.
Another thing about zaps in Damus: I’d love to set default visibility too. I’d love to default to private zaps for myself.
