I'm interested in buying barefoot shoes. I see a lot of recommendations for vibram fivefingers. After a bit of searching, there are plenty of other makes and models.

I walk about 5km a day. Mostly on asphalt and gravel sometimes. I don't run.

Any ideas which model is right for me?

Lems primal are good, a slightly different take.

Other Lems models have a bit more structure but a good compromise if you need a shoe that doesn't stand out.

+1 for Lems. I've had Vivos and Lems are no compromise comfort with wide toe box. Like walking in slippers.

I have Xeros but they are not quite as comfortable as 5Fingers. Look at some Crossfit shoes. Tevas or a similar sandal with a light sole is a good in between

I do not like five fingers shoes. I like Xero shoes

I’ve had Groundies shoes for several years — very comfortable barefoot, and good quality (repairable by a cobbler).

They’re made in Germany…

I have Xero boots and they are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I also have Vivo and Origo shoes. Vivo is more comfortable, but Origo is not but and it's considerably cheaper.
