Because this person or bot or whatever has been a spamming batshit crazy nutsack in the past, and apparently also the present.

Incorrect, I've never spammed and some of my posts have always been some of the highest quality posts on nostr
Let me make it clear: All of those people individually chose to mute/report the npub. There is no "blacklist."
You could have just asked what "blacklist" means instead of insulting me with incorrect bullshit.
Whitelist: a list that grants access (in this case, something like a follow list that lets posts into a home feed)
Blacklist: a list that blocks access (in this case, something like a mute list that removes posts from a feed)
Case in point:

What do you mean?
What case in point? Those are normal answersπ€·π»ββοΈ
This time, maybe. I've given it multiple chances. Pretty sure it was replying to every note rapid-fire with insane drivel that earned the spam report. Some of these whackos are on cycles. They spend a few months almost normal, then they go full retard again.
While I'm thinking about it, you can turn off the thing that hides it. It's the top switch under "security filters" in Amethyst. It's only doing that because people you follow have muted/reported the npub. That way you can feel it out for yourself. Who knows, maybe I'M the crazy one... π
I like my filters though, going rogue might not be very comfortable for casual use.π€ It's just when I see "click to see," I will click anyway. Oh, we need gay porn bot back to appreciate what we have.
Oh yeah, could just as easily have been a dickbot a bunch of us reported. You'll just have to trust us retards to protect you from the π₯ππΆοΈπ«
But the point is this guy may be a dick, but not a bot. And people treat other people differently. So feature blocking out actual person as he's tagged bot just because he had some fights with someone else isn't ideal. I don't care about your fights, we have naturally different experiences.
Hence, as I wrote somewhere else, it would be nice to differentiate between "I report this scam/ai bot/porn filth" and "I fucking hate this asshole."
I agree. The jury is still out on this one. It has been very bot-like in the past. I don't ever use the "report" option unless it's rapid-fire spamming some crap or some obvious scam attempt, so if I reported it, there was definitely a good reason. I would have seen it as spam clogging things up, not just annoying. nostr:nprofile1qqs9pk20ctv9srrg9vr354p03v0rrgsqkpggh2u45va77zz4mu5p6ccpzemhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejz7qgkwaehxw309a5xjum59ehx7um5wghxcctwvshszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7qrxnfk probably made a similar decision. If I have a personal beef, it just gets a private mute. I don't think those will affect your feed because your client can't decrypt my mute list to see who's on it.
This is kind of an interesting case, though, because your recent personal experience isn't actually that bad. It's honestly the first time I've seen it come up in this way.
