This is a false dichotomy.

Freedom liberates us not to do as we wish, but to do as we ought.

When individuals do what they ought, they grow in virtue.

Virtuous people balance meekness and magnanimity.

Humble, great-souled individuals create the conditions under which others can thrive.

The result is a genuine safety oriented towards virtue, if not towards comfort.

I agree, while overnight freedom would likely kill millions. A slow roll back to freedom is the ONLY safe way to have civilization

Nostr is good because here we are building a culture of freedom. Those who earn their freedom are more likely to develop the virtue to use it well.

Tone down the religion filter there Superman 😂

Am I more virtuous for wearing a seat belt, or never snowboarding steep faces? How about skydiving 🪂 is that safe? Where does your self righteousness sermon fit into what I was actually talking about? Do you always project your own meaning into peoples words without questions, or did you not get enough sleep?

Additionally, freedom isn’t freedom unless you can make the wrong choice. Keep your Empire based Crusader “christianity” off my wave.

Interesting that I said "virtue" and you heard "religion" 🤔

You are a blind guide leading people into blindness.
