Checked the marathon box once. Never again. I'll stick to sub 3 milers and barbell training.

How did you feel after finishing?

Could barely walk. Fwiw, trained for three weeks in my 20s and came from a crossfit foundation. Also was deployed to AFG working 12hr night shifts. Got off at 4am and ran at 5:30am. If you're half as retarded as I was, a marathon is probably fine. Or if your frame is half my size 😅

I ran probably the fist half and then walk/jogged a third, then walk shuffled the last. Finished around 4.5hr mark.
