EU money is not being spent any more wisely on various "green" projects throughout the EU. Let's face it, the idea of helping African countries to prevent illegal immigration into Europe makes sense, but the philosophy that prevails in the European Commission is wrong and harmful in many ways, and could become fatal. This philosophy says that every problem is solved by spending public money. Do we have a problem? Let's vote for XY billion euros and that's how we will solve the problem.

No. That won't solve any problems, it will only make them worse and create new ones because

1) the money is not free and EU citizens will pay for it through higher taxes and inflation, and

2) the state is not efficient in spending money wisely.

It would be much more efficient to invest diplomatic efforts and educational assistance in developing countries to create their own institutions and become healthy places to attract private investment, which would lead to an increase in the standard of living of citizens and reduce the need for emigration.
