To separate, you’ll need approval from Ottawa. In other words, if you want independence, you’ll have to push for pro-separatist representatives to get into office in Ottawa because even if everyone in Alberta agrees to separate, you can't. You need to follow the law and that means through Ottawa.

I've had conversations with some separatists, and many of them are advocating for implementing their own tax system and pension plan, similar to what Quebec has done.

But here's the thing, leave my money out of it. I don't want Ottawa, Alberta, or anyone else “managing” what’s rightfully mine. I want control over my own finances, without interference from outside powers.

The separatists want to do exactly what Ottawa is doing and thats taking money from my paycheck without my permission and forcing me to pay property taxes.
