Pallet to stool update:
It's finished! Sanded and waxed, it looks pretty decent for a first attempt at a stool, and even better for having not used a single power tool!πͺ

Very nice.
All the legs have a hand shaved dowel holding them in place, with hammer in fitment there is little to no play in any of the legs. The only thing i might change on it is a wider splay on the legs.

No power tools! Old school. I like it. Nicely done
Dang. I would not want to part with my sander ever. That was my best gift to myself last year. Power tools have spoilt me π nice work #[2] - how did you join the legs to the sitting surface? I was contemplating bar stools but chairs are a lot of work because of its angle precision even though it looks simple, I gave up even before I started π
I did a tapered leg (getting wider towards the bottom) into a similarly tapered hole. Then i deilled a hole through the side (see my comment above) and put a peg in so the leg cant go in furhter or slide out. Additionally the hole was slightly smaller than the leg.
Those angle precision dowels are not easy stuff even with machines, let alone by hand. How did you end up picking up carpentry so young? And if you are selling, Nostr has some marketplaces thatβs I think is already up
Looks awesome. I made a similar stool with scrap wood. We call it the ugly stool. (Yours looks much nicer). But everyone sits on it every morning to put their shoes on regardless of what it looks like. So I call it a win!
Excellent work
