What linux distro do you use and why do you love/choose it?

i use gentoo on my PC, i enjoy the speed, OpenRC-based, and knowing what my system is composed of

on my laptop i use artix linux, OpenRC again, speed of installing/updating packages, and i've found it to be pretty stable

What are the advantages over a basic arch installation?

artix allows you to choose different init systems, arch is systemd only IIRC

Artixs sounds good, alternative for systemd. Maybe i will try this distro

There are only deb and rpm packages from contributor. pacam and flapak for f.e. Protonmail Client are missing.

Do you build missing software it from source to be sure there is no hidden malware?

i use AUR usually
