Manjaro because of its stellar hardware detection.
And on servers primarily debian
On serverside debian is my first choice too 👌
Manjaro sure, has a little bit less aggressive rolling release concept.
Run it on a pinephone years ago, but did never run it on desktop 😅
I love the arch distros because it is community driven , no hidden company behind.
Do you use hardenings or container tools for safety of the system? (Apparmor/firejail/other) i have a big respect of the community packages yay. But seems the only way to get most tools (ok…maybe flatpak is an alternative or to build the package yourself)
i use gentoo on my PC, i enjoy the speed, OpenRC-based, and knowing what my system is composed of
on my laptop i use artix linux, OpenRC again, speed of installing/updating packages, and i've found it to be pretty stable
Thank you, interesting. Artix seems arch based. I did no no this distro.
What are the advantages over a basic arch installation?
artix allows you to choose different init systems, arch is systemd only IIRC
Artixs sounds good, alternative for systemd. Maybe i will try this distro
I usually default to Ubuntu but like Mint for simplicity. But then just load them all onto VMs on my proxmox just because I can.
I go back and forth between fedora and Debian.
Debian requires a lot of configuration but has stable software.
Fedora helps me stay up to date on where the things I use are currently at.
No need to use one now, just like browsers. Different distros on different machines for different things.
I use https://omarchy.org/
I’ve heard of it, it looks interesting. I should take a closer look at its technical side.
My current status: I'm currently using Endeavour OS (arch).
I'm quite satisfied. I really like that it's community-driven.
