It's becoming much more clear now especially given the EA executives rather frankly based comments about RPG gamers that one of the big reasons everything is so shit now is because everyone currently in the games industry though they could get away with it.

The slop is very deliberate, but it's not just a side effect of the games industry becoming so corporatised and executives having no imagination. They made a conscious decision from the top down to make everything shit.

They forgot that classic games and indie devs exist.
