Is my npub banned from most relays or what is happening? I can't get any android client to load new events, my feed is days old and doesn't refresh. Started when I first tried nostrudel last week. Amethyst stopped loading event, no matter what relays configuration. Now I'm writing via Nostros and it's just the same. Has anyone experienced this before? #nostr #asknostr

Interesting - I just logged in using your npub on Amethyst to view your feed and I could see many latest posts....so not sure what's happening.
I did that too just now, it loads a couple of notes but stops soon
Check your ISP/VPN situation? Sounds like network problem.. they might be throttling you or etc.
Issue persists with both mobile and different wifis. It must be in my phone's OS, graphene, or with something higher up the stream
On amethyst clear cache and everything will work fine
Did that many times, also installed amethyst from different sources
Thats very weird i only use amethyst and i never have a problem and it the best client
Oh mighty nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z I summon you for I'm out of ideas. My Amethyst feed stopped loading after I nostrudled a little last week. First less and less notes were loaded, then none at all. I wiped caches, installed Amethyst from fdroid and directly via apk, I switched to default relays, activated my usual ones again, used 10, tried 21, used nostrsync... Issue persist in Nostros! But when I reinstall Amethyst, it fetches a bunch of new notes. A little while later, my feed looks like this, check the dates:

Check your relay list, it was probably deleted by nostrudel.
I tried but it didn't help. I'm on default relays now from the device I'm posting this with.
Could it be that my All Follows list is messed up? I'm still getting the latest notes through Global and Conversations.
Do posts re-load when you force close from the Settings?
As soon as the problem comes up again I try, I just deleted all relays again and loaded the defaults, it's fetching notes also in All Follows
It could be that you are following too many people. Amethyst (and most clients) add all those keys to the filter and filters with 2000+ follows generally get blocked by relays because they are way too slow.
I did not know that! OK I yeet a couple and report back

I lost good follows today. RIP longdongbitcoin, [deleted account], and so many others... 🫡
I'm sure I have a lot of dead accounts in my follow list, most of them I added in January 2023. I connected to anyone who was around at the time. This is how you get the most out of Nostr, plenty of follows for a broad amount of content. The 2000 follow cap seems a little low looking forward.
Can a little script help to clean the follow list?
Check whether key has posted a note within 1yr/2yrs and if not -> yeet? Does #codestr exist?
This would greatly help old accounts to remove bloat.
I see there is a codestr hashtag! The str suffix is a brilliant schelling point
See if https://listr.lol/ can help
Ah damn. Weird thing is it loads notes initially, but looks like the subscription is not active, so the feed is stale.
Can the subscriptions be sharded, or staggered?
Unrelated but I just noticed this glitch: I can't scroll all the way down to the end of my follow list. It stops somewhere and when I delete the last/oldest follow that is shown, a new one loads from the bottom

yep, I think we crop it in about 1000 :(
It looks like this was the issue and it is solved now. Many thanks!
What happens if you switch to global and back to follows? That works for me in Amethyst.
