Being able to breathe underwater was a childhood dream, but I like my thumbs. Option 2 sounds like a badass adventure, so as long as I can move faster than light, that. Otherwise I’d surely starve to death πŸ˜‚

Yeah. It's an interesting tradeoff. I'm considering the challenges in forming friendships in either kind of environment. For the underwater, presumably other humans are working cooperatively against or with the unknowns. Whereas in space, your opposition is of the same kind. It's not known whether any other lifeform exists and thus every encounter is likely hostile.
