Bits makes more sense than sats, 10mil bits to a bitcoin. Use a lowercase b with a dollar sign for bits, uppercase b with dollar sign for whole coin. Show exchange rate (950 bits = $1 on the screen) prior to purchase

Bad argument. Let's make a new unit for 10s of cents. Does that make that way make more sense than cents? No. Smallest subunit is what's defined in currency. Bitcoin has 8 decimal places. The smallest subunit is what should be defined. Not an arbitrary decimal point.
