The replies to this post are all GM fake accounts starting from the second reply.

A batch of GM fake related spam accounts appeared. They forwarded the same things. These GM fake accounts hope to get sats through GM. He found Nostr's Bitcoin mining method. But it is too easy to identify.

Spammers forget that the foundation of #Nostr 's social network is trust.

Wow.

Almost all of them have been followed by enough people to be on WoT relays too 🤦‍♂️

there’s GM fake accounts?!

Yes, I just found out too. They retweet and post the same thing. All replies are good morning.

Taking spam reports into account would fix this pretty quickly

GM, handsome 😬

I’ve noticed these types of accounts replying to some people’s GM notes too recently. They all share the same characteristics - they don’t generally engage apart from posting the same GM replies each day, they don’t post any original notes but repost presumably to make them look more legitimate, they have a single fairly generic line in their bio, and not many followers. I agree that these are fake accounts.

Yes. They all have similar characteristics.

Also looking at them on nostr.band, they all have Primal wallet addresses and have received sats but never sent any. A couple that I looked at were up to around 13k sats so they are doing pretty well out of this scam if you multiply that by the number of accounts..!

Yes, most of the fake accounts were created on the same day.
