Staring into the caffeinated abyss that is a second cup, I started thinking -

- what’s everyone’s favorite writing app/program - any device, any setup? #nostr

I've been using [Joplin](https://joplinapp.org/).

Ty! I need to look more into this - never heard of it, but I love the “self-host” install aspect - that’s actually something I was looking for, thanks again!

Idk, notes 🤷🏽‍♀️

Notes is surprisingly good - I’ve circled back to that after using Notion for awhile.

When I was writing novels, I used Scrivener (https://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener/overview) both for keeping track of notes/plot/characters and the actual writing.

For my microfiction now, I use Gmail and keep a draft version of an email to myself so I can access it on any device.

Scrivener is good!

I’ve been using that more recently and I really like how feature rich it is.

iA Writer was another one I’ve seen around too, but that seems more for just drafting ideas out.
