There are several projects in the world right now developing lightning network point of sale systems for merchants, but I don't see that any of them are really production ready yet.
I need an idiot proof point of sale terminal to set my boss's store up to accept Bitcoin payments.
I feel CashApp is the best positioned, and most likely, to be first with this.
But, who knows.
Cash app is a consumer tool, not a merchant tool. But Block Inc invested in a lightning project to build a merchant PoS system.
BTCPay has a PWA terminal. Easiest thing in the world. Punch in the amount, it shows a QR, no 3rd party. Can even set up splits. Worth a look.
I'll check that one out.
