I really don't understand this threat. If I sell a shitty $3 coffee and the premium coffee is $5 my ONLY selling point is cheap price. China's only selling point is their goods being cheap. It CERTAINLY isn't quality.

You’re not wrong. But they are still a significant source of imports. I suspect the country of origin will just shift elsewhere. They’ll ship it next door some place and repackage. A lot of part suppliers depend on China though.

They did try that. They shifted imports to Vietnam and Trump added another 10% on Vietnam. I think this 34% is actually a frustrated tantrum over them being caught trying to circumvent the tariff plan.

That’s funny. Let’s see how consumers feel.

The pain will continue until Bitcoin increases.

Can somebody tell me what tariffs apply to an iPhone made in Shenzhen and sold in the US, and to an iPhone made in Shenzhen and sold in China?

Tariffs don't apply at the point of manufacture. Tariffs apply to imported goods at the point of import.

Do you mean that Apple does not have to import an iPhone made in Shenzhen to sell it in the US?

No I mean, the locally created phones have no tariffs from the US.
