nostr has NPCs just with different programming

I think I meant 'normies'. Cos that's usually the distinction I've often seen made on nostr. 'I buy bitcoin so I can't be a normie' type statements. But I think NPC and normie is sorta interchangeable here.

But yes, different programming. The normies here have an internal price of bitcoin clock hardwired in ;);););)

(That's not to say I don't people here lol, I think people are mostly cool and very nice on nostr lol. I don't want to poopoo nostr too much lol. I just think there are some silly points and the nostr meta is kinda of creating a certain replication of bitcointwitter culture, which I find tedious. Etc etc I am also a normie' etc etc)

There is definitely an element here who want and want to keep it as bitcointwitter. If you say you want something more/other, it's usually when some people say you should find somewhere else lol

But I genuinely want Nostr to succeed:)

It's sort of mutated into something else on nostr lol, but it is probably derived from the same place. It's no just 'no shitcoinery' it's also a bit like bitcointwitter culture is the gold standard or the only standard to emulate or something (I genuinely think some people don't know wider twitter exists outside of BT). I don't know lol.

It's got a bit better. Until there's a price move, and then it's unusable and indistinguishable from bitcointwitter.

It's been ok lately, Christmas has helped, no big price moves also helps.

Bridges may help nostr somewhat, if/when implemented properly. Or at least add some random injections or topics.

It also means that you have other participants who are outside of the reach of the zap-reward meta system... thingum, which somewhat shapes the place.

There's definitely some elitism and culty behavior, especially from certain unnamed nostr influencers.

I also find it interesting how you have so many people believing both X and Y when neither have anything to do with each other (example: X is bitcoin and Y is steak)
