I will rather not comment on personal level.

But we probably fair to judge the software itself instead of the person.

We can check freely the source code of the apps. I didn't found some weird stuff or weird code in Amethyst source code. Many developers who contributes to Amethyst also didn't found any such thngs.

If there are any such weird stuff or malicious code then F-Droid maintainer also will be the first one to notice such stuff. We better judge the code itself 🙂

I don't think there is malicious code.

But knowing the background and conflicts of interest of any people you interact with is the basis of every relationship.

Agree, I understand your point, but some readers might not fully understand your intention unless they get some better context. Thank you that you bring some spotlight for this topic. Hopefully you add more context to this to clear misunderstanding. Some people might be ditch and uninstall without proper understanding 😄

I will gladly leave or use the fork Amethyst only if there are such weird stuff or malicious code which can directly affect us. For now it is not matter as not directly 🙂

Disagree. Anyone involved with the covid tyranny is an enemy of mine, whether their software is open source or not.

Software is neutral and we can judge it fairly by the code itself. If there are any malicious or weird stuff code in the software we can freely to leave, modify, or fork it to make a better version. If we can't code it is fine we can temporarily remove it and use other nostr cluents until other devs make a fork without any malicious code 🙂
