Weird look for amethyst. From working on authoritarian pseudoscientific anti-freedom tech digital covid certificates for WHO to pro-freedom tech nostr. And now Nip-82 medical data.

Yep I think Vitor speaks about it here, but as a non native speaker I though I may have understood it badly. It appears it was not the case lol
This is actually very common for brazillians. There is a very heavy socialist/pro-state indoctrination here.
It's no wonder brazil is in such a bad spot on global economic freedom index: the majority of the population supports it.
BR twitter is filled with people literally advocating for China and North Korea lol.
So even when some of us somehow manage to develop an interest in decentralization, it's hard to fully get rid of a life of state indoctrination.

I take it you must be form the US. You're in for a ride if you interact with Europeans then.
Fun fact: I was once bullied out of a telegram BR shitcoin group because I did the unthinkable -> I said Bitcoin's decentralization and censorship-resistant properties cause it to be a inherently pro-libertarian tech. Those guys wanted me dead hahahah ๐คฃ probably because most brazillians are led to believe all libertarians are evil capitalists who want poor people to die or something ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Just the messenger reporting potential onflicts of interest and informed consent.
Thanks to anon pleb whistleblower who told me about this.

Any suggestion for android?
Bro I could travel deeeep down the rabbit hole wit u. MK Ultra much lol or do u prefer GLOBALPOLICY2000
Of course, the moment I express my hope that Nostr will save us from shady alt tech entrepreneurs like Andrew Torba, this pops up on the TL.

Please dont bring your personal belief to the development on nostr.

I will rather not comment on personal level.
But we probably fair to judge the software itself instead of the person.
We can check freely the source code of the apps. I didn't found some weird stuff or weird code in Amethyst source code. Many developers who contributes to Amethyst also didn't found any such thngs.
If there are any such weird stuff or malicious code then F-Droid maintainer also will be the first one to notice such stuff. We better judge the code itself ๐
I don't think there is malicious code.
But knowing the background and conflicts of interest of any people you interact with is the basis of every relationship.
Agree, I understand your point, but some readers might not fully understand your intention unless they get some better context. Thank you that you bring some spotlight for this topic. Hopefully you add more context to this to clear misunderstanding. Some people might be ditch and uninstall without proper understanding ๐
I will gladly leave or use the fork Amethyst only if there are such weird stuff or malicious code which can directly affect us. For now it is not matter as not directly ๐
Disagree. Anyone involved with the covid tyranny is an enemy of mine, whether their software is open source or not.
Software is neutral and we can judge it fairly by the code itself. If there are any malicious or weird stuff code in the software we can freely to leave, modify, or fork it to make a better version. If we can't code it is fine we can temporarily remove it and use other nostr cluents until other devs make a fork without any malicious code ๐
Context.

When digital ids on nostr?
Agreed, looks suspicious.
According to the log, Vitor started his work on the covid authenticator in November 19 2021, and still worked on it by December 2022.
What other Android Nostr clients would you recommend? I am not interested in using Google Chrome extensions.
Your post is causing quite a stir.

Super sus but Iโm looking forward to the game theory between multiple clients playing out.
Perhaps he's working on Nostr as an act of repentance...
Hmm ๐
