Who else is running community events to help the masses put Linux on their desktops before Windows 10 abandons them?

Do you have any tips to share?

I'm going to be involved in one of these in my town and want to learn from those who came before me.

I love helping people save money, getting them to switch to open source software, and make the most of what they already have. This is like a perfect storm for me. 😄

I want to do my small part, but haven't been involved in anything yet.

Just moved to Ubuntu from a Mac, and glad I switched despite the challenges of getting everything configured and working

Have an old Lenovo T480 with Ubuntu on it I am thinking of selling cheap here on Nostr to someone that wants to try Linux but hasn't jumped in yet.

I think making it easy for people to try and experience just how far Linux has come is valuable. Especially if they don't have to wipe their current machine to do it, or try and get dual boot working.
