One of the nicest things about Nostr is that I don't consistently get pushed videos of people being attacked, abused or killed.

I can't begin to explain how much better my mental health is since I moved away from Twitter (way before it was X), Facebook, together with WhatsApp, Reddit, etc. Never had Instagram or blue(whatever, can't recall). If I want to rile up people, that's what Lemmy is for. Have nice interactions? Mastodon. Read and interact with open minded people willing to discuss pretty much any subject? Nostr. And I can stay away from it all whenever I want for however long I want.
Twatter is a weird place
Indeed. Accidentally injected some of that into me feed, and being able to get rid of it in moments really puts into perspective the different experience

Just switched from X to come here cause every fucking post was some influential politician or influencer talking about some war followed by violent videos and then some other enraging comment or tweet. I switched, took a deep breath, and now positive vibing again

In fact it's true. There is much less useless violence to watch. Although in some cases (such as in the case of genocide) it is better to see even just once a day what the ionist terrorists are up to. But yes in general it's true. Fewer bloody videos of traffic accidents or accidents at work
Absolutely. Some accounts here are a bit too prolific with reposting for my taste, but I am free to mute them, unlike the Twitter algo that force-feeds everyone their daily dose of outrage
