Could use a bit of well-wishers right about now.

Hoping for a quick quelling of the fire, but currently not looking great...
Less than a mile from my home.

Stay safe 🤞🫂
Have great day buddy.
Sending well wishes. If you havent already, I would get some go-bags ready, just in case.
This part makes me ill.
When it comes down to it, not much worth saving but our lives. Thinking about what to save is paralyzing AF.
I would start by gathering important docs like passports, etc., some water/food items, clothing for a few days. Just gather and have ready in case of sudden need to leave.
Good luck and hope it is quelled 🤙
We do have a small safe with these items ready to take.
Last time this happened, my family (mostly me) was a complete mess. It was a close call, burned a bunch of the exit from the hood (only 1 paved road in, other roads out are rugged 4x4). They had called for a voluntary evacuation, but we didn't leave. A neighbor did, and their kids were pretty traumatized by driving down the road that was on fire on both sides, they moved off the mountain the next summer.
Currently being dropped by our homeowners insurance for the third time in 2 years, too, due to their "fire ratings" and our proximity to a 24hr manned fire station (20 minutes).
And it wouldnt be a bad choice to evacuate preemptively, rather than in a 10-minutes-to-get-out situation.
We used to burn off all fuel around our home if it looked like it was coming our way.
As in deadfall or propane/gas cans?
Definitely a "no burn" in place currently....
You will be okay mate. Get a Pulaski and hike it yourself
Fingers crossed that they get it under control.
Hope the fire dept quells it
