yes, stamp seed words on steel, then store them somewhere secure
if this is your first time playing with these wallets then test them out and get comfortable first, send, receive, and restore
And use multisig. Make it difficult to move and force yourself to think about what you’re moving your money for.

I’m very comfortable with using wallets, was just curious about your favorite setup since my Coldcard just arrive in the mail.
Would still love to bring the jade into the mix, and not have all my stack in the same wallet. But jade has multiple setups and not sure which one to go with.
What about a passphrase?
Some argue it’s a must, some others argue it’s just a brittle 2 of 2 with single point of failure.
Would love to know your advice for a good strong setup I can have.
