I dunno. Jason Lowery and #[2] just made me realize bitcoin makes war into love. A way of projecting power and order in a circumscribed sphere without having to kill or harm people/property. In fact, projecting your bitcoin power ensures others become more secure too…a bless those that curse you kind of thing.

Violence is merely projecting your will or rejecting the will of another by forcing the adversary to incur a cost. Historically, this projection required some pretty nasty stuff like murder, theft, torture, etc…
Bitcoin fixes this. Violence doesn’t have to be, well, colloquially speaking, violent any more. Bitcoin doesn’t fix all violence and not all violence can avoid physical use of force. But it’s a massive upgrade for violence where applicable.

Yeah conferences are lots of money to hang out with other bitcoiners if you want to dox yourself. Not worth it to someone that doesn’t want “to work in the industry”
