I remember visiting canada as a kid and one thing that stuck was how your forestry and logging practices were different than Americas and that is why forest fires were less of an issue.

Did those practices change or were they fucking up the whole time?

It seems to be a real issue the last few years and I'm not sure if the rate of fires changed or just the coverage and alarmism.

No, it’s changed quite a bit. Lack of funding, rules against controlled fires, lots of beetle kill that’s left and not cleared because of funding. It’s a shitshow.

Now we spray our forests with desiccant to allow for crown fires in the deciduous and Nano aluminum to oxidize the flames so that way we get super heated fire storms and then blame climate change all the while sending out fire fighters that don't fight fire and actually promote fire. We are at war and we don't even know who the enemy is.
