Yeah, which us one of the many reasons why I can't ever join the orthodox church, the same as disagreeing with catholics about the supposed legitimacy of the pope.

I think it's not biblically correct to postulate that all leaders are tools of the rebellious little g gods that were originally placed in charge of various areas and then accepted human worship meant for God. As such, I intend to ignore/rebel against all those who claim authority over others.

For clarification purposes, orthodox do not worship their kings nor their saints. They venerate but do not worship them.

After Constantinople fell, eastern orthodox christians had no king and the head of the church was always and still is Christ.

Yes. I'm aware.

I'm not talking about humans, but spiritual beings who sit/sat in The Council of Gods.

I have no king but Christ. I'm also suspicious of most leaders in most churches. (I admit to being hard to handle. 🫣😅😎😁😏)

Was thinking about saint Lawrence the other day ... wondering what I (or others) would do if in his shoes ... Its only natural because Jesus guaranteed his followers would be persecuted as he was

On a related note, church and state relations, was also reminded recently, of Jesus' promise that, in the regeneration, his apostles would become the judges of the 12 tribes of Israel
