The short answer… like anything good, you need to put in the proof of work to curate the best follow list for you. Hashtags and checking out other peoples follow lists help.

There are a few tools out there as well. Https://listr.lol by nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc is a solid way to look at other peoples follow lists. Jeff, do you have a “list of lists”? Aka, is there somewhere to view the curated lists that people are publishing?

Also, nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft has a cool tool (I forget the name) where you can back up and swap out your follow list with someone else’s.

Https://Nostr.Band is also helpful and has a trending section as well as excellent search and statistics.

The follow list tool is https://kind3.xyz . If you just want to have a look at Nostr through someone else’s eyes you can also just login to a client using their npub. Or login to Primal and add that users feed as one of your feeds.

There are also Nostr apps specific to communities and topics, like satellite.earth, Nostr.kiwi, and Zapddit

Second this… logging in with someone else’s npub is wild. I tried nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s and the notifications were non-stop. But that gives you a good idea at what other peoples feeds look like. Let us know what you end up doing! 🤙

That feels so wrong though somehow.
