Proof that Bitcoin is good for the environment and society:

Scenario A (without Bitcoin): I knew fiat was being debased and saw real estate as the only hedge available to common people. I bought the biggest house with the biggest mortgage we could afford (a major burden on the environment). I was working on buying properties to rent out which would have continued to drive up the cost to people not yet on the real estate ladder. All of this was financed by debt which kept me on a hamster wheel leading to a consumptive lifestyle and mediocre health choices leading towards a future where I would have become a burden on the healthcare system.

Scenario B (with Bitcoin): I sold the big house, moved my family into a modest rental and gave up on my ambitions to use fiat debt to capture real estate square footage that I could rent out. I have more control over my time, and prioritize family, education for my kids, quality food/excursive and time in nature over consumption. I save in Bitcoin.

…….just me?

I’m still on the pay your own mortgage instead of somebody else’s team. But I have no experience with real estate beyond my one house. If you like/need to curate your own environment without getting permission from landlords, it’s the only option. There are plenty of extra expenses associated with owning the house but it’s still worth it to me.

My wife is (strongly) in your camp on this issue too. 🤣

I also run a business out of my house too though, so I have to do a ton of stuff that I can’t always be trying to get permission for.

But that also means I don’t have to rent a larger facility so it serves a dual purpose for me.

I'm on team B.
