Isn't there some delta that feeds water a ways inland during monsoon season, or whatever you fellas call big rain time down there?

Yeah, nah. Crocs are up north, so far as I know, so like Queensland and the Northern Territory. The dingo incident happened in central Australia which basically just has red dirt, scrub, and a really big rock.
