Last one about my little one today, promised! 😅

Yesterday, his football team had their second game, and they got annihilated by a technically superior and more coherent team.

My little one was understandably very disappointed so I thought it'd be the prefect opportunity to teach him about the importance and necessity of defeat in life. He didn't say much in the moment, but I think he got it.

How do you dads out there deal with situations where your kids limitations are exposed, when they don't do as well as their peers etc? What has been your mental dialogue in these situations?

Limitation exposing situations are some of the most important moments in our life.

They come with a lot of complicated emotion, fear being a big one.

I do my best to tell my kids to feel fear as fully and as openly as any other emotion. To treat it with curiosity and to listen to what it is trying to tell us.
