Replying to Avatar samhain

I've been reading "I'm glad my mom died" and it's so well written and makes my heart ache for Jenette McCurdy. So many feelings during this read, but even through some VERY dark chapters, she still makes you giggle a little bit. This book has given me something undescribable 🫂 #bookstr #book

would you mind elaborating? I don't mind spoilers, but i'm thinking about whether it could be valuable for my woman, who has a lot of resentment towards her very negative mother, that just couldn't really love her ...

Is there like a core message?

Does the book go beyond simply blaming the mother for her experience?

McCurdy was sexually assaulted by her mother almost throughout her whole life, restricted her "calorie intaking" to the point of anorexia and bulimia and guilt tripped her and beyond to become a child actor and many other things. Saying she simply blames her mother is pretty much ignorant. Placing the blame where it belongs: her mother abused her and there's no way to sugar coat it.
